The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) launched a new digital offensive to attract Hispanic voters ahead of November’s midterm elections. The strategy combines advertisements in English and Spanish. It also uses messages about cost of living, healthcare, housing, employment, and Social Security.

The campaign targets competitive districts where few votes can determine control of the House of Representatives. Hispanic voters could have a particularly significant impact in states such as Pennsylvania, Texas, New York, and California. The DCCC announced that its list of targets reaches 58 Republican districts. That number increased after adding 12 additional seats.

What Ads Did the DCCC Launch?

The most recent ad targets Hispanic voters in Pennsylvania’s 7th district. There, Democrat Bob Brooks seeks to compete against Republican Ryan Mackenzie. The campaign includes 4 ads and a six-figure investment in digital platforms. The messages will appear on YouTube and other streaming services.

The ads «Broken Promises» and «Resume» question Mackenzie’s record. The DCCC holds him responsible for rising prices and healthcare access problems. Bridget Gonzalez, the committee’s Hispanic press secretary, said Mackenzie promised to reduce costs. She also stated that his record shows a crisis for Lehigh Valley families.

The language of the ads seeks to connect with everyday problems. Hispanic families face high expenses for food, gasoline, housing, and health insurance. The strategy is not limited to immigration. That decision responds to polls that place the economy among the main concerns of Hispanic voters. The message also presents Brooks as someone close to working families. The objective is to associate the candidacy with lower costs and greater access to housing.

In What Other Districts Are They Seeking Hispanic Support?

The DCCC also launched advertising in Texas-28, New York-17, New Mexico-2, and California-22. Those districts have large Hispanic communities or competitive elections.

  • In Texas-28, the committee promotes Congressman Henry Cuellar. The ads highlight cost reduction, healthcare, and Social Security protection.
  • In New York-17, the campaign questions Republican Mike Lawler. The ads hold his agenda responsible for cost of living and healthcare access.
  • New Mexico-2 uses a different message. The ad «Sacred» presents Congressman Gabe Vasquez as a defender of public lands and local families.
  • In California-22, the DCCC criticizes Republican David Valadao for a vote related to Medicaid cuts. The committee claims that decision would affect nearly 63,000 people.

The DCCC states that California-22 has more than 64% Hispanic population. For that reason, it considers Latino participation could be decisive. The organization also segments messages for other groups. In Nevada-3, it launched an ad targeting Asian, Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander voters. This segmentation shows a shift in electoral communication. Political parties no longer rely solely on general ads for the entire population.

Why Could Hispanic Voters Be Decisive?

A bipartisan UnidosUS poll interviewed 3,000 registered Hispanic voters. The study was conducted between April 27 and May 14, 2026. 76% said they were sure or almost sure they would vote in November. The survey had a margin of error of 1.8 percentage points.
