Mbappé responds to racist attack by Paraguayan senator: “It’s despicable”

The legislator went even further with painfully racist comparisons. She literally wrote that Mbappé was a “brute” who “instead of mother’s milk sucked on coconuts.” She also spitefully claimed that the most educated thing the soccer player had ever heard in his life “were chimpanzees”.

In another message, the public official openly incited physical violence. She claimed that the only complaint Paraguayans had about their own national team was that they had not given the player an “open-handed slap” after the match ended.

How did Kylian Mbappé respond to the attacks?

The striker responded forcefully through an extensive official statement on his social media. He began his message saying: “Madame Celeste Amarilla, you are a despicable woman unworthy of your position”. The player made it very clear that he will not tolerate disrespect toward his person.

Mbappé wisely separated the politician from the noble Paraguayan people. He assured that she does not represent a country that has demonstrated so much passion and great honor throughout the entire World Cup competition.
