The “No Kings” protest movement is planning demonstrations across multiple U.S. cities on June 14, 2026, to coincide with President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday. The coalition of activist organizations, which has previously organized historic mass protests, plans to march peacefully against what they view as authoritarian governance and abuse of presidential power.

June 14, 2026 will be a complicated day in several U.S. cities. The “No Kings” movement plans to mar President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday. The organization will take to the streets in response to what it considers poor governance and an abuse of presidential authority.

Through a statement published on its website, movement leaders are calling on citizens to march peacefully. The group seeks to express disagreement with the “authoritarianism” displayed by the Republican administration in its second term. The date strategically coincides with a high-profile event at the White House and Flag Day.

“The next 250 years begin with us,” states the group’s official call. “We can allow authoritarian politics and corruption to define this moment. Or we can ensure that the story of the United States is one of people uniting to defend our rights and build a future based on the power of the people.”

What is the “No Kings” Movement?

The “No Kings” movement was born as a coalition of dozens of activist organizations. The name references what are considered supposedly anti-democratic policies of the current administration, especially on immigration, and Trump’s statements about governing with absolute authority.

During Donald Trump’s second term at the White House, three major events have been organized by “No Kings.” The first took place on June 14, 2025, coinciding with the president’s 79th birthday and a major military parade. The other two editions took place in October 2025 and March 2026.

Previous demonstrations were historic in size and geographic scope. According to a report from Britannica, the first march likely constituted the largest day of protests in U.S. history, with more than 5 million protesters. Participants demanded an end to war, protection of civil rights, and fair immigration policies.

What Event Will He Organize for His 80th Birthday?

The challenge for the next edition will be ensuring that protests are not overshadowed by a major sporting event. Dana White, UFC executive director, confirmed the organization of a monumental mixed martial arts event in the South Lawn of the White House on the same June 14.
