Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez Act Together Again

Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez will share the screen again in an animated film titled Not Alone. The project will arrive in theaters on April 16, 2027 and marks an unusual crossover between romance, science fiction and comedy.

The film also represents Chalamet’s debut in feature-length animation. For Gomez, on the other hand, it represents another natural step in a career that already includes voice acting, music, television and commercial beauty.

What is known about the film?

Not Alone will be produced by Illumination, the studio behind Minions, Despicable Me and Sing. According to information released at the Annecy International Animation Festival, the film will combine space adventure and family humor.

Chalamet will lend his voice to Joe, an introverted rocket mechanic who prefers to go unnoticed. Selena Gomez will play Fran, a brilliant astrobotanist who develops the first plant-powered rocket.

The story revolves around both characters, who are summoned to work together on a decisive launch. Although there is an immediate connection between them, romance will not be simple. The plot is complicated by the arrival of three small fugitive extraterrestrials.
